Ready to Wear Canterbury Ribbon Cape

Named after the cathedral city of Canterbury, England. The scalloped edges being reminiscent of the scallop shells with which the pilgrims adorned themselves as a sign of their pilgrimage to the shrine of Thomas a Becket.

The cape is decorated with a strip of petersham ribbon and petersham ribbon to the scallops.Made from a choice of cotton velvet or taffeta and lined with contrasting polycotton. Fastens at the neck with a large hook and eye.Example shown here is in cotton velvet. All ribbon detail and lining will be in black for all colour options. SIZE Length is 15 inches (38.5 cms) at the front, dipping to 17 inches (44 cms) at the back for all sizes. Neck is SMALL 12-13 inches (31-33.5 cms), MEDIUM 13-14 inches (33.5-36 cms), LARGE 14-15 inches (36-38.5 cms), EXTRA LARGE 15-16 inches (38.5-41 cms). The full sweep of the cape is 99 inches (250 cms)

Taffeta 55% Nylon, 45% Polyester. Due to the trimmings and boning used in our garments we recommend careful handwash or dry clean .

Polycotton 65% Polyester, 35% Cotton. Due to the trimmings and boning used in our garments we recommend careful handwash or dry clean .

Cotton Velvet 100% Cotton Iron on the reverse (flat side) of the velvet only so as not to spoil the nap (tuft) of the fabric. Due to the trimmings and boning used in our garments we recommend careful handwash or dry clean .
