News For 2011
April 2011
An update to our March newsletter sees The Albery Gown and the Ducrow Skirts (respectively) worn at Whitby Goth Weekend.

Also the contrasting Brunswick Gowns worn at Venice Carnivale.

Also the Green Velvet Serpentine Gown which now resides in California.

Thank you to those who sent in the images. I will be adding many more images to our Galleries when I update/revamp the website during May/June.
Kind Regards

March 2011
Dear Friends
At long last spring is here and it has been a delightfully busy time at VG. Two gowns went to Venice Carnivale at the end of February, another now lives in California awaiting its event at the end of April and two bridal ensembles are ready for their big days! On average I have been working 15 hour days, but it has been worth it.
Whitby Goth Weekend (UK) saw the photographers out in force and to my knowledge both the Albery Gown and a set of beaded Ducrow skirts made a visit and were warmly received.
Photos of the above can be seen on our Facebook page. I am planning on totally updating the main website in April/May and so will upload new photos then.
VG is taking orders for future commissions, but we are fully booked up until the middle of May 2011. We could though at a pinch, just squeeze in one last outfit (depending on which one!) ready for WGT.
There are no SALE items at present.
VG now has a Twitter at: http://twitter.com/VicGothicUK
and a blog at: http://victorian-gothic.blogspot.com/
Finally, I have had this Flyer from Dragonfly productions (a copy of the email which went with can be supplied if you private message me) which may interest a few of you or your friends and family:

February 2011
Off to a great start with 12-15 hour sewing days to keep up with demand! Two gowns are going off to Italy for Venice Carnivale which happens at the end of February (we hope to receive pictures) A gown for California and a super, but hush hush commission for a wedding dress. On top of all this I long to give the website a total make over so will hopefully manage to start on this during March. Lots in the pipe line for this year!
January 2011
A Happy New Year to you all!
On the surface Victorian Gothic has been quite quiet during December and January. This is in stark contrast to what is going on behind the scenes where we are busy diversifying the line and also planning a couple of events, more to follow over the coming year.
Commissions are still coming in, which is great and this year looks to be shaping up to be the year of the brides! I still have about 4 slots available for August/September brides, but these are going fast. I can't wait to be able to show you some wedding pics, but that will have to wait! We also clothe mothers of the bride/groom and also bridesmaids too of all ages.
On a sad note I have just heard that the famous Victorian Picnic Steam Hauled Trains at Bluebell Railway Sussex UK will only be running for one weekend this year (2nd & 3rd July 2011) rather than the normal 2-3 weekends as in past years. I can not stress enough what good fun they are, value for money and a memorable experience. Places tend to run out fast and group bookings work out very economical. All information can be found here Bluebell Railway Victorian Picnic A great opportunity to sport your finest Victorian attire with dressing up warmly encouraged.
Well the rest of January sees me pattern drafting and making mock ups. We have the Albery Gown sample and a couple of articles in the SALE PAGE section, though it is very doubtful despite all the new things planned that there will be any more Victorian gown samples for sale in the foreseeable future.
One last thing. Don't forget a few key dates for your outfit planning( especially if you are planning on commissioning something from VG as we usually need at least 8 weeks notice on a gown or 4 for one piece such as a skirt, bodice pelerine etc!) EVENTS PAGE
Thank you for your continued support and lets hope that this is a happy and healthy year for us all.
