The Kensington Walking Skirt
This skirt was not named after Kensington in London UK, but after Kensington Gardens in Brighton UK where it was first worn! The style of the skirt dates to the 1890's and it has five gores (made in 5 pieces) is pleated at the back and fastens with hook and eyes. The Kensington skirt is not designed to be worn over a bustle, though a small roll or bustle pad may be worn to give more shape. This skirt is VERY full and requires 5.5 metres-6 metres of fabric depending on the option chosen. This skirt can also be trimmed and customised at your request. Shown here in polycotton. All fabrics and colours are available.
